Kurt VonnegutApril 11, 2007: Kurt Vonnegut, 84, US writer known for his absurd and satirical works including Slaughterhouse-Five and Cat's Cradle. Regarded as a key figure in 20th Century literature, he was also a supporter of many humanitarian causes. He died a few weeks after sustaining head injuries in a fall. |
